Naruto Shippuden: Clash Of Ninja Revolution III

Naruto Shippuden: Clash Of Ninja Revolution III is the latest game from the Naruto anime franchise to hit Nintendo Wii. Even though it is based on anime world, this game is a serious contender in the fighting game genre. Tomy, has polished the fighting mechanics and makes it a well balanced fighting game compared to its predecessors. The game also serves a lot of available unlockables through out the game that will make players come back for more action. However this game has a bad story mode, where it is sometimes very easy and sometimes very hard to advanced through the story. There is also an unacceptable laggy online multiplayer game that will make the players lose interest in it at all. Easily said, Naruto Shippuden: Clash Of Ninja Revolution III is a great fighting game for offline multiplayer, but not that great in online multiplayer, and single player story mode.

Manhunt 2

Manhunt 2 follows its predecessor's ultra violent. Players will have the ability to cold blood murder, decapitate and even kick the enemy in the balls. The game focuses on stealth approach and killing the victims in total darkness. This gamestyle however has a drawback, where players wouldn't know what is happening when the characters act brutally to the victims. The execution moves are very gruesome and deserves a kudos. Even with the ultra violent theme, Manhunt 2 does not have a frightening story line. This game is seriously for mature audience and not suitable for minors. Not for the faint hearted.

Single player content has also been increased to boost up the replayability of the game. Players can also choose between wide choices of control methods (Nunchuk, Wii Remote, Wii Classic Controller) that suits themselves. However this game still lacks in online mode, and unpolished sound effects. SmackDown vs RAW 2010 also brings the bad from its predecessor where the matches are too long to be in focus. SmackDown vs RAW 2010 is a great game for any wrestling fans, however not a recommendable fighting game for all.

Guilty Gear: XX Accent Core Plus

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is another spin-off from the earlier instalment Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. This game is very fast paced and players will need to make their characters run across the screen in order to win each bout. The developer has added several new characters making it 25 playable characters in the game. Players can select each character and play a different story mode each time. Other than that, this spin-off doesn't have many additions compared to the original game, thus making it a weak title. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is a great game, but like any other fighting game, Wii Classic Controller is highly recommended in order to enjoy it.

Pokemon Battle Revolution

Pokemon franchise has always been famous for its hand held games (Nintendo DS) and stadium game on it Nintendo N64. However, since the game consoles has become better, Pokemon needed to up their game to fit the famous Pokemon franchise onto Nintendo Wii. However, the move is quite disappointing. Several modes that are liked in N64 version such as playing the DS game on big screen and multiplayer mini games have been stripped down from this game. The story mode too is very limited and shallow and really uninspiring. Nintendo need to sit down and build the game from ground up. Pokemon Battle Revolution is not recommended, even to the Pokemon fans.

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the second instalment from the Harry Potter franchise to come to Nintendo Wii platform. The game depicted the movie well with loads of references of the fiction. However, the good references has made it a little bit difficult for those who didn't read the fiction of watched the movie beforehand. This game also has a limited amount of activities to be done during the whole gameplay, making it a boring game quite fast. The character models is quite OK, however the voice acting is a little bit of a letdown. Harry Potter fans might enjoy on reliving this series, however for those who aren't skipping this game is understandable.

Ben 10: Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks

Ben 10: Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks is the second game from the Ben 10: Alien Force series and the third game from the whole Ben 10 franchise to come to Nintendo Wii. For those who don't watch Ben 10, Vilgax is the arch enemy of Ben 10. This game is a balance of puzzle and action game that focuses on Ben Tennyson, a boy who could change forms into several alien lifeforms. The graphics are well done because the character really resemble the cartoon character on its animation series. However, the game fixed the camera angle at some point, avoiding the players to be able to adventure more into the game world. Ben 10: Alien Force: Vilgax Attacks is a step to the right direction, a must have for Ben 10 fans.

Dragon Ball: Revenge Of King Piccolo

Previous Dragon Ball games usually focuses on fighting game containing all the characters in the Dragon Ball universe. Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo however uses the license in a slightly different way by making it an adventure game instead. The game focuses on fishing young audience and introduce them with the Dragon Ball brawlers. There are also Japanese language track included in the game that will excites some anime mania.  The story line is a little bit short and Ban Dai needs to polish more on the duel fighting mode to make this game better. Dragon Ball Revenge Of King Piccolo is a game for the fans, and searching new fans. However we do feel that this franchise is a little bit old...

Dead Space: Extraction

Dead Space: Extraction is a continuity of the hugely accepted sci-fi shooter Dead Space franchise on other platforms. In order to fit into the Nintendo Wii control schemes, this game has been changed from a shooter game into a horror action adventure. Dead Space: Extraction story enhances the franchise's universe even more with its story. The graphics are among the best available in all Nintendo Wii games. There are also a comic with voice and motion that can be unlocked inside the game. However this game has a minor problem with the camera settings where it sometimes might make it a little bit difficult for players to aim and shoot. Ivy The Kiwi

Ivy The Kiwi is a new kind of platformer game. In this game, Ivy will walk to one direction until he couldn't walk to the direction anymore and turns around to the other direction doing the same thing. So, instead of pushing the buttons to make the characters jump, players now have to point and click to make a platform made of vines so that Ivy will go the way that the players wishes it to go. This charming game will definitely got the players attention. Even though the easy mechanics used in this game, don't be deceived as this game can be quite difficult to play as players will not have a direct control to the character's direction. Ivy The Kiwi is a great and refreshing platformer game.

SmackDown vs RAW 2009

SmackDown vs RAW 2009 is a wrestling fighting game combining two big names in entertainment wrestling industry. Players can play all their favourite characters from both of the franchise and fight the opponent using motion control. The developer did a great job in remodelling all the superstars and they even put a special ability to the players to decide actions during entrance of each match. The single player mode is solid and fun to play. However, players might feel tired after some time swaying the motion controller around. Several graphics issues and non-immense background music during game play are the only reason this game is not qualified for our recommendation.

Each character has a unique power and fighting play, they range from the dark psychotic ones into the hilarious and tricky ones. The game has a new voice-over and background to make sure that the returning fans wouldn't felt boring following the series. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core is a great fighting game to buy, however, just like any other fighting games, make sure to have a Wii Classic Controller or Gamecube controller, as the Wii Remote and Nunchuk do not give the game justice.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Mercury Meltdown has always been a favourite for PSP (Playstation Portable) gaming console. Now, the game has found another console that can support its requirements for tilting, and of course, its on Nintendo Wii. The game needed the players to tilt and swivel the Wii remote in order to move the mercury to the goal as fast as possible. There are a lot of levels in this game, and the excellent control system will surely hook players for hours in front of the game. The game also has a definitive and beautiful visual style that is very attractive. With all the good things about the game, sadly this marvellous game didn't come together with any multiplayer options. Mercury Meltdown: Revolution is a great puzzle game to have. It is also suitable for party game.

This game has a great Wii Remote + Nunchuk control scheme in adapting with the game. However this game has problems with its AI where some might consider some of the score is cheap. The game also suffers the problem of repetitive commentator that will urge players to turn off the sound in order to enjoy the game. Finally, one of the most problematic in this game is the dreadful graphics. This game leaves a lot of part to be overhauled. Ice hockey fans should wait some more before this game is polished in future instalment.

Other developers have matured and have been producing such a good game in the genre. This game come into the rivalry bringing an interesting story line however did not excel at other crucial part of an FPS game. Brothers In Arms: Double Time has a bad frame rate and can be noticed with bare eyes. The visuals are bad, and will tire players easily. The controls too is a little bit sluggish and the worst of all, the developer has decided to take out all the multiplayer modes that usually is the bread winner for any FPS games out there. Brothers In Arms: Double Time is not a good game to have, Ubisoft needs to think of a new niche market or polish their games better before jumping into the Historical FPS arena.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is the latest instalment of fighting game implementation from the Dragon Ball Z universe. This franchise returns with even more fighters (161 characters!), new modes, and the thing that players' have been longed for, the Online multiplayer. The is a story mode added in this game, however the story telling is not well made, because there is a limitation of only 2 characters to be shown during a dialogue even though there might be more characters taking part in the conversation. There are some addition to the action control of the characters such as Sonic Sway (dodge technique) and Z counter (counter attack), however this game didn't go to the length in adding new gameplay in it. Simply said, we think that playing Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 feels like de-ja-vu with its predecessor. What ever it is, this game is still a great buy for Dragon Ball Z fans, and a good buy for those who is into fighting games.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers

Square Enix, the creator of Final Fantasy franchise doesn't usually make much game from the franchise to Nintendo Wii. It's previous Final Fantasy were the Chocobo Dungeon, and Echoes of time is just not the best game for Nintendo Wii. The former does not let the players to control any leading character other than Chocobo, and the latter is just a port from Nintendo DS. This time, Nintendo Wii owners were left with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. The naming alone is a tongue twister, and this game has ported from an RPG into a mere Action Adventure game. Don't get us wrong, the game still have a great visuals and story line, only that it is more towards younger aged gamers rather than its counterpart in PS3, Xbox360 and even the PC versions. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers is a good game to buy if the players is searching for an action adventure game.
