Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is the second instalment of the series that circle around the Star Wars world. This game lets the players be the young unauthorised apprentice of Darth Vader in a journey to find the truth. This game is packed with jaw dropping art and environment design. The game also has been able to overcome the problem of its predecessor in motion control. There are also several great cut scenes inside the game that will let players to understand more about the world they are wandering in. However this game has some disappointments where there are not much enemy character to fight with, and their online multiplayers is a little bit let down. LucasArt should make this game a little bit better by grasping the Wii Motion Plus technology to make the Light Saber swinging experience a little bit better. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is a must have game for fans and non-fans of the Star Wars saga.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a fighting game that focuses around the world of Dragon Ball Z Anime. The game let players choose between many characters inside the Dragon Ball realm, and simulate the fight that the players have been waiting for. Players can also play the long story mode that let them come into the world and go through almost all of the Dragon Ball myths. However this game has a clunky control scheme and the camera is a little bit of a let down. Even though there are a lot of characters to choose from, this game does not add much uniqueness to each characters thus making it a little bit boring. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is a good fighting game, and definitely a must have for DBZ fans but non-fans should be able to pass it without any regret.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent

Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell: Double Agent is a stealth action adventure game by Ubisoft. Players will have to control an agent character through the game and go undercover behind enemy lines. This game is challenging and the story line is way much better than its previous predecessors. There are also a good amount of offline co-op gameplay available in the game. However, this game lacks online competitive multiplayer (available in other consoles), and the control schemes is a little bit difficult to understand and get familiarised with. To date, Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell: Double Agent is the only Splinter Cell ever to be ported to Wii, and for those who are a fan of stealth action adventure, this is a game not to be missed.

Players can play all of the workout routine by following the virtual instructor. Once players are comfortable with certain workouts, they can select and create their own workout routine. There are also several fun minigames but only 9 of them are available to be played in multiplayer mode. This game can help players to improve their balance and strength, and has been proven to make players lose weight. The only setback of this game is the price tag and players will need a big place to store the Wii Balance Board.

Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is the latest instalment from the Prince of Persia franchise that spans across almost 20 years. This game that was published in almost all console has many things to offer the fans and non-fans alike. Players will control a Prince without a city to call his own, and fight through all the enemies in order to fullfil his birthright to govern. This game introduces interesting and fun new powers to the prince compared to its predecessors. It also offers a lot of beautiful environment to explore around the game world. There are some camera problems and bland combat physics that held this game back from becoming a great game. Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands is a good and beautiful game to play.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a horror game for Nintendo Wii. The game has been set in a dark mysterious and haunting atmosphere. Players will be profiled all the time, and the players experience will be given based on that. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories has a great story line, and players will be suck into the deep and emotional story easily. Even so, players might be left hanging of wanting more at the end of the game because the story is very short. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is a great horror game, a must have but is not suitable for those faint hearted and/or under 15 years of age.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is the second instalment from the Ultimate Alliance series. We have enjoyed the predecessor, and have high hopes to this game in particular. This instalment serves a larger cast of characters compared from the first one and it also provides a new attack method call, fusion attacks that is totally cool. In this game, players will control 4 super-hero characters at one time, and try to fight through the enemies until the final stages. The offline co-op option that let players play with their friends is very welcome. However with no in-depth level design, multiplied by the terrible AI and added with jittery camera controls, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is a frustrating game to play. Even though, if the players is an all time Marvel Super Heroes fan, go ahead and buy it (at your own risk).

Cursed Mountain

Cursed Mountain is a horror game set on the Himalayan Mountains. The setting was so spectacular, that even by itself might make the players feel a little bit spooky. The dark, and hazy environment can sometimes sent chills right to the players spine. The story is good and there are some good memorable sequences in the game. The combat is great, but sometimes players will be frustrated when the controllers doesn't respond well. Remember, Cursed Mountain is a horror game, not suitable for those under 18 (Mature audience only), and for those faint hearted.

Naruto: Clash Of Ninja Revolution

Naruto: Clash Of Ninja Revolution is continuing the Naruto: Clash Of Ninja franchise. This game is easy to pick up and players can start fighting with each other from the start. Players can learn to adapt to any of the widely available control options according to their preferences. This game however have took a lot of things from its previous instalment and didn't add many new features onto it. Thus making it an uninteresting game to have. What ever it is, it not everyday that one can play as a ninja in the real world. Naruto fans are highly recommended not to miss this game.

Mario Strikers Charged Football

Mario Strikers Charged Football is a football simulation game for Nintendo Wii which stars all the famous characters from the Nintendo World. Players will need to control a group of football players and defeat the other side. This game however is not a normal football simulation game, it blends the game of football with some attacks, powers, and even weapon into the pitch. Even though it might be a little bit too flashy and chaotic gameplay, this games comes as a alternative to other bland simulation football games. There is also an interesting online/offline multiplayer option that is very entertaining. This game has an easy opponent AI, so this game is better to be played with friends rather than alone.

Battalion Wars 2

Battalion Wars 2 is the second instalment from the Battalion Wars franchise which was initially introduced in Nintendo Gamecube platform. This game is a fully functional Real-Time-Strategy game and has been design specifically for Nintendo Wii point and click control design scheme. The pace of the game has been drastically increased compared to its predecessor making it more challenging than before. There are an online multiplayer support, that can shoot up the replayability of this game specifically in this genre. Even though this game is considered as an RTS, this game is lite in strategy and the story is quite simple. The AI is not that challenging thus making the online multiplayer the best way to enjoy this game. This game is good, but still leaves a lot of points for improvements.

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition

The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is a game based on the 1972 film with the same name. The game has a challenging and well balanced mission through out the game that keep players busy at all times. The interrogation and combat system is very nice, and players can feel very in to the game as they were in to the movies. The motion control method works fine, but sometimes does not work at all. All and all, The Godfather: Blackhand Edition is an example of a great film license game implementation. If the players liked the movie The Godfather, they will surely like this game, and relive their icon. Keep up the good work EA.

Monopoly Streets

Monopoly Streets is the second game from the Monopoly franchise for the Nintendo Wii. The game takes players back to their childhood board game, but this time with a 3D lands and buildings to the game, so that players don't need to imagine their Monopoly game anymore. Players can play with the characters that are given, and more characters are available to be bought with the points players gain during all the gameplay. New boards can also be bought, but the extra boards are just the same as the previous version of Monopoly game. This game is an interesting game to play with or without friends. However the game is a little bit slow compared to its predecessor and the character's voices is more in the annoying side.

Tomb Raider: Underworld

Tomb Raider: Underworld is the second instalment of the Tomb Raider series ever to be ported to Nintendo Wii. In this game, players will go back to take control of the female protagonist Lara Croft and bring her to the world of danger and adventures. The game has a great mix of the locations and let you explore it with the new moves capable to the character. Just like most of the Tomb Raider series, this game has a great level design. This game has several setbacks, such as an uninteresting dialogues and some noticeable camera issues. The puzzles too seems to be made a little bit too easy for this Wii version. Tomb Raider: Underworld, still have what makes a Tomb Raider fans like it at the first place, but need seriously need to overcome all the shortcomings that deny this game to be and excellent game.

In this game, players will go back to the 15th century and come to the world to explore and build cities inside the world. However, the world is limited into a certain amount of resources and scale so that it will fit perfectly in the Nintendo Wii playing style. Animal Crossing: City Folk

Animal Crossing: City Folk is the Wii version of Animal Crossing games that has been made popular on Nintendo Gamecube and DS. At the start of the game, players will have a small house and will be owing money to a character Tom Nook in order to buy the house. However, each time the player is able to pay off all the debt owed to Tom Nook, he will again ask them to upgrade and extend the house so that the players will be forever in debt under him. Sounds like a crook to me, but Tom Nook has a weakness, he will buy anything that the players brings into his store, and he will pay a decent sum for all of it. Other than finding things to pay off debt, players will also be able to contribute to the local museum with special things. This game is a lot of fun in the early stage but it is not much different from its predecessor on Gamecube and DS.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is a football simulation game. This game, like any other in its franchise take the simulation approach towards football game. It might be bad in dribble tactics and character resemblance, however this game focuses on tactical and strategy point of the football game. Pro Evolution Soccer 11 does not have much improvement compared to its predecessor, the 2010. In this game, players will have better control to each of the players, formation and tactics. The game use an intuitive Wii Remote + Nunchuk combo to play which is a little bit difficult but definitely rewarding. Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is for the game players that like to be in control and don't quite bother with a not so top notch graphics.

FIFA 11

FIFA 11 is a football/soccer action game by EA Sports. By taking the action approach towards football, players will have a limited ability to control the flow of the play. However, this game excels in character resemblance (but sometimes a little bit inconsistent) and special dribbling skills of the player. FIFA 11 has a great online multiplayer game where there is almost no lag at all during the game play. It also doesn't restrict the control method that the players want to use. The game also re-feature the 5-a-side street soccer that have been missed by many of the FIFA franchise fans. This game is fast paced, and really capture the essence of football playing.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has its own attraction towards all the fans and non-fans of Star Wars. This game takes the players to be a young padawan and learn tricks of the Jedi. Even though the players is a non fan, the ability to do magical and unbelievable powers surely will suck them into the game. The game is packed with powerful physics engine that lets the players to do awesome stuff with their 'force'. Players will need to swing their remote and nunchuk, just like they are casting all the Jedi powers around them, however after quite some time, it might seem a little bit repetitive. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed also has a limited camera control, that might frustrates players. This game is a good game with a great story line. May the force be with you.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Celebrating its 10 years of game franchise, Lara Croft is finally ported to Nintendo Wii, entitled, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Yes the name is not very intriguing but don't judge the whole game by only its name. This game has a satisfying acrobatic action adventure game play. For those Lara Croft fans, the game introduces new game play, while maintaining some of the best Tomb Raider ability. There are also puzzles in the game that might pause the players from action adventuring and wear on their thinking hat. The game combat control and camera control is a little bit difficult, but players will have to live with it through the whole game. Lara Craft Tomb Raider: Anniversary is a good game to have.

The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces: Project Aces

The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces is a fighting aircraft simulation game. The game is powered by Project Aces which is a Namco group being responsible for the highly acclaimed Ace Combat franchise. The game is loaded with a lot of missions to fly through with non stop aerial tactical action. The game also serves a lot of unlockable planes and gears to power up your arsenal. Just like any other Ace Combat series, each mission will be ended with a multiple cam views of the plane through out the whole mission, and that thing is pretty amazing to watch. Even with all the good things, the only frustrating thing about this game is that the default motion-sensing control scheme is very difficult to use. If players want to enjoy playing this game, using the Wii Classic Controller is the only way to go. Project Aces is seriously need to reconsider this game's control scheme.

Trauma Center: New Blood

Trauma Center: New Blood is from Trauma physician simulation game franchise on Nintendo consoles. Like any other Trauma instalment, this game has a brilliant sense of motion control. Kudos to that. The game also has some gruesome injuries, however wouldn't freak anybody out with it. There is also co-op multiplayer mode where players can bring their friends to the operating table to help them treating the patients. The coop multiplayer will add more fun, and once players finished the treatment, it will be more satisfactory. However, just like many Japanese game, this game has a bad dialogue, and that not just ends there, the instructions too sometimes a little bit vague. Overall, Trauma Center: New Blood is a good game for all.

Tetris Party Deluxe is still basically the same as its original, but now players can choose whether to use the Wii Remote, Wii Balance Board or Wii Wheel as their control scheme. The game came with a variety new gameplay mechanics which most of them are available in multiplayer mode. Players will not only able to play with others having the same game online, but they will also able to play with other Players that have the WiiWare version of the game. Even though the presentation is not that amazing, Tetris Party Deluxe is a good game to buy.

Golden Eye 007

Golden Eye 007... where should we start from. The fact that this game is a remake from the infamous offline multiplayer on the Nintendo Gamecube making it a highly anticipated game of the year 2010. Golden Eye 007 has a fine mix of FPS and stealth game in one. The game has a wide variety of vehicles and boss fight, and there is also a new addition of 'par time' where it will push you to the edge just to make it on time. However, players should know that the main buying point of this game isn't the single player, but the online and/or offline multiplayer. There are also variety of control method that can be used in the game (Nunchuk, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, and Gamecube controller) so friends can play the game by just bringing their preferred control scheme. There is no problem on playing offline multiplayer, but once players go online multiplayer, the lack of support for Wii Speak will take its toll. What is the fun of playing silently in the living room? Even though, Golden Eye 007 is a must have game of 2010. One of the best game for Nintendo Wii.
