Little King's Story

Little King's Story has a very intelligent approach to strategy game genre. Instead of having to have a large amount of main characters, this game only has one main character; The Little King to control. The player should come to the land, take peasants and train them to learn a specific skill. These peasants will follow the main character along the journey and can later be used in battle with enemies. Little King's Story is a good game to play and it is fun to play.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is one of the best music / rhythm game. Players will control the game using a guitar shaped controller pushing the right button according the the scrolling notes shown on the screen. Players will be asked to play lead, bass and rhythm guitar for rock bands. There are two modes, one is career mode when players will need to develop their own career in Rock Band. The other mode is multiplayer where more than one players can play simultaneously against each other. This is a very good game however, you must find a place for the guitar controller because it is quite big for a small living room.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (PES 2010) is the football simulation game by Konami. The game boasts with depth control of each players, thus making it a better game for players that like to have in control of their football tactics. Using the Wii Remote & Nunchuk as controller, some players from other consoles might find it quite difficult and the first place, but having such control style does make the game more interesting. For those who like to dribble the ball but doesn't care about the resemblance of players in the game, PES 2010 is the way to go.

FIFA 10

FIFA 10 is a football game by EA. Fans of Pro Evolutions Soccer might not fancy FIFA 10, but this game is synonym with great graphics quality and the players face shows a great resemblance with the real player. This game is becoming more arcade style game, thus makes it easier and have a lot more fun. There is less in depth control of each player, but for those who like to have fun with football, this is the game to have.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is among the first game that grasps the Wii Motion Plus add-ons. This simulation game mimics the real life golf where all the movements, even the smallest ones matters. Before you can play, you can select and create your golfer and select settings for your own movements and play style. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, is the only precise golf simulation game when the game launched. So, golfers could consider this game as one of the training apparatus to sharpen up their swinging and putting skills. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, is the job well done by EA.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is the game by Nintendo that shows the vast usability of the Wii Remote. This game contains several levels where in each level got several more micro games. Micro games are games that is smaller and shorter than Mini games. Before each micro game, there is a sign showing how the player should handle the Wii Remote. Straight, sideways, both hands, like a pen, close to body, on the head and so on. The player should follow the sign, and try pass each micro games. In order to open new levels, you have to get acceptable amount of good results in the micro games in the current level. This game is fun to play alone or even with friends. However, before it can be played as a party game, the player should have finished the whole game as a single player. Finally, this game is a good game for those who is new to Nintendo Wii and it's controller. It is a lot of fun.

Metroid: Other M

As usual, Metroid is the franchise that always change it's gaming style and genre. Metroid: Other M again showing the gaming industries shows another type of gaming style. With the success of Metroid Prime: Trilogy with a FPS genre, Metroid: Other M uses a new game style by combining First Person and Third Person. Players now can choose whether to fight in First Person perspective or Third Person perspective by only changing the way of holding the Wii Remote. For that reason, this is the first Metroid game on Wii that doesn't use the Wii Nunchuk. The storyline is quite long and well developed, and the cut scenes are breath taking. This is a surely must buy.

Disney Epic Mickey

Disney Epic Mickey is the answer to the question "Why don't anybody bother to make a Mickey game?". It came at just the right time, and on the right console. I couldn't consider other console to have this title because after all, Disney usually focuses to get the young audience. The game uses an interesting style of play scheme. Player will play the game as Mickey that is holding a magic brush that can color and delete things on the environment. This is done to reveal secret stairs, boxes, trees so that the player could reach to things that they want inside the game. Even though the game is quite repetitive, the novelty of the game style is simply brilliant.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit

Yes, the new installment of the Need for Speed (NFS) franchise is out now. Hot Pursuit came back to the basics of the NFS where players will be focusing on fancy nice cars, and flee away from the law enforcers. With the end of 'Fast & Furious' movie trilogy, NFS need seems to find their root again and start over. I think their move was well executed. For those who have a Wii and feel bored with their Mario Kart, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is a good buy.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing

Mario and Sonic have always been the icon representing the battle between game giants Nintendo and Sega. So when Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing coming to Nintendo Wii, you would have expected that it smells like something fishy. It is like Sega is holding up their grudge and publish a Nintendo Wii version anyway. In an instance, people might see the resemblance between this game and the much popular Mario Kart Wii. As a matter of fact, it does. The only difference is that the players can't change their cars, and the type of super power depends on the character you drive. Even though it might seem like a rip-off, this game is surely has an advantage for those Sega lovers to reminisce their love to Sonic. The world/track is more colourful, and more curly, you will always noticed that you are upside down and jumps a lot more than Mario Kart Wii. All and all, this is still a good and fun game.

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy is a 3D Platformer game of the dearly beloved Mario. The game follows the new genre of 3D platformer style that is originally introduced by Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64. As usual, like any other Super Mario games, players will play the character Mario in order to save Princess Peach from Bowser. However, don't be disheartened yet. Even though the motive of the game is still the same, the gameplay is when the game is really matters. Be amazed to come into a colourful Mario Galaxy world. The puzzles are quite challenging but not that hard. A second player can also play the game, however, will not have a second character. The job for the second player is to help Mario collecting stars, and throwing them onto enemies. There are also other things such as helping the first player jump higher and press star on the enemies so that they couldn't come close to injure Mario.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is the game where all the stars in Capcom and Tatsunoko world collide. With more than 20 characters to choose from, Capcom is surely still the best developer for a fighting game. Each characters has their own combo hits and a super power that can be released to bring down the opponent. The graphics are fantastic and the buttons using Wii Classic Controller are pretty responsive. What ever it is... let's get dirty and fight. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is a must have.

Wii Party

Wii Party is the latest party game made by Nintendo for Wii. The game is sold with or without a Wii Remote. This recipe is the same as Nintendo did several years ago with Wii Play, that is one of the best selling game of all time. Wii Party however has much more to offer than Wii Play. The game is specially made for 1 up to 4 person to play simultaneously. There are games that is suitable for 2 persons, and several more games that is suitable for 1-4 person. In those game, you are needed to play several more minigames to get something that you want (i.e. balanced weight Mii, first dice throw, etc). Wii Party is a very good Party game, and a great ice breaker. You might find that the game and minigames is quite repetitive if you play it for quite some time. However considering how long a party could be held... the players won't have time to see it repetitiveness.

Wii Fit

Not enough with motion control Wii Remote, Nintendo Wii brings a new way to control the game. This time, Nintendo brought Wii Fit, a game that is purposely made for people to get out of their couch. It's like bringing an instructor into your living room. The game is compatible with Wii Balance Board (usually is sold with the game) and the board will take information of your pose and send it to Wii. Wii Fit is the game for those who would like to shed some fat, but don't get me wrong Wii Fit is still interesting to play. You have to make sure you come again to play it, or else the workout would be such a waste. Wii Fit is one of the reason that make Wii consoles sale like hotcakes. Well done Nintendo, please come out with further inventions in the future.

New Play Control! Pikmin

Pikmin is a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game, which was formerly designed for Nintendo Gamecube. For those who are accustomed to relate RTS to tanks, foot soldier, space ships and critters, you'll be amazed how Pikmin made the genre as cute as can be. In Pikmin, you control Captain Olimar, a spaceman that is being followed by Pikmins. You can direct the Pikmin to do things that you like such as carrying things or enemies, bringing down walls and defeating enemies. The main target is to grow as much Pikmin in one day.

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa is a themed game from the FIFA football game franchise. Players controls a team in football pitch and try to beat the opposition to grab the World Cup for themselves.  The game is pretty easy, and sometimes a little bit too easy. Like any other FIFA games, there are times when you could not control the players that possess the ball. The only thing you can definitely control is when to shoot, and how to celebrate a goal. By the way, the Vuvuzelas are here to stay... (but you can turn it off at the settings). All and all, this game is not a game that you must have... and having the 2010 World Cup has long gone, I wouldn't bother to buy it any more. (Unless its really cheap!)

F1 2009

F1 2009 game is one of the game that is published in every console. The game is very lifelike, but sadly, the Wii Remote precision problem has take its toll on this game. After all, the main thing about F1 driving is its precision. It is hard to control the gear change, brakes, acceleration and steering using the Wii Remote alone. I always found myself at the end of the pack and that is very discouraging. The other discouraging news is that the game has been discontinued for Nintendo Wii console, resulting F1 2010 only released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Hope that F1 will reconsider it's Wii counterpart as Nintendo is working hard promoting Wii Motion Plus & Wii Remote Plus. We just wait and see. For the time being, just stick with your Mario Kart Wii.

Monopoly

Monopoly brings the widely loved Monopoly; the only business based board game into life. It also brings the character of Mayor to the game, with a very nice voice acting. You can play up to 4 players in the game, and you can choose the very iconic Car, Ship, Boots, and several other marker to play. There is a basic rules of the Monopoly, but you can change the rules settings if you like to suit you own Monopoly house rules. There are several boards that you can play, such as: Original, World Board, Chocolate, Cheese and many more. Open up more board as you buy more properties in every game. EA did a good job in bringing Monopoly to life... It is a great game. Highly recommended.

Kirby's Epic Yarn

Kirby's Epic Yarn is a very cute and challenging platformer game. Players can play as Kirby in single player, and the second player could play as Prince Fluff. Kirby are stuck in a different world where everything was made out of yarn. In order to save the world, Kirby and Prince Fluff must fight back in the form of yarn. Players can change into cars, parachute, weight and many more forms to move through the level. Come and play Kirby's Epic Yan and be amazed with this genius play mechanics. The graphics are marvellous and it has been selected by gamespot as the best graphic (artistic) game of the year 2010. The game is just fantastic, simply the best platformer game for Nintendo Wii so far.

Madworld

Madworld is another game by Sega for Nintendo Wii. Player will play the character Jack, who will need to restore order in an island where everybody there have been fighting and killing each other on live television. Player would need to have a nunchuk to play this game. The killings are gore and full of violence. The drawback of this game is that the game mechanics is the same and repetitious. Not suitable for those who are faint hearted.

Super Smash Bros.: Brawl

Super Smash Bros.: Brawl is one of the first game that I owned. This game earned one of the highest ranking in many gaming website. The control is just simple Wii Remote sideways, but the graphics is marvellous. You can play many characters from Nintendo world, plus several other special characters. Nintendo characters are, like usual, Mario, Luigi, Zelda, Link, Peach, Fox, Metroid, Wario, Kirby, etc. None Nintendo characters includes Pikachu, Ash, Sonic and Snake. This amounts to a staggering 35 characters altogether. This game can be played for up to 4 players simultaneously. The arcade mode is great, but the story mode is even greater. It is packed with many beautiful cut scenes. The story is quite interesting, even though the characters didn't use a single word, players would be able to understand the whole story regardless. Marvellous.

The House of The Dead: Overkill

The House of The Dead: Overkill is a shooting game. There can be up to 2 players in the game, and like any other zombie shooting game, you only need to point your Wii Remote, and shoot everybody (except the ones with 'hostage' label on top of their head). There are several power shots, you will get by shooting a slow shot icon. In the early stage, you will be given a hand gun. You can upgrade your hand gun to put more bullets, and faster. There are also other weapons, such as rifle and machine gun. I however do like to stay with my hand gun upgraded to the fullest. This is quite a good game, the graphics were good, the controls were great. The only problem with this game is that one of the characters swears a lot. He swears so much that I had to grab my TV remote and push the mute button. The script writer should find another job.

Just Dance

In a word, Just Dance is phenomenal. The game fully utilises the Nintendo Wii Remote capability, and for the first time rhythm games is not only done by pushing buttons. In order to to play this game, players must get out of the sofa, and move their body. They have to follow the dance shown on the screen and mimic the character full dance routine. High marks will be given to those who can mimic the character best. Players will surely sweat themselves out to follow the fast aggravating music. You can play up to 4 players and compete with each other for the most mark. For me, Just Dance is the best dance game. It is a good exercise too.

Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War is the fifth installment of Call of Duty franchise. The game take you back to the history and reliving the second world war. Players will play the character of Russian, English and American fighting the Axis pact. There are wide range of weapons to be played, and the online play will make the game even more interesting. A new mode, Zombie Mode is quite frightening because you have to battle yourself out of waves and waves of Nazi zombies.  The story mode wasn't that attractive as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex, but it is still a great game.

Wii Sports

Wii Sports is the game that you will get when you buy a Nintendo Wii. It's a little bit pointless to ask people to buy one, but I'm writing this for the sake of a great game. As usual, the best developer to make a Nintendo Wii games is Nintendo themselves. For me, Wii Sports is the best game because it utilises the full potential of a Wii Remote (without Wii Motion Plus). Five games available, and they are, Boxing, Bowling, Golf, Tennis and Baseball. For me, the best games among all of them is Tennis. The Tennis game is even better than Table Tennis of Wii Sports Resort that requires the Wii Motion Plus. You wouldn't be boring of Wii Sports, but you'll get muscle pain after playing it for a while. All and all, Wii Sports is a lot of fun, and it is great for party too.

Monster Hunter Tri

Monster Hunter Tri is the new installment of the Monster Hunter series that has been famous on Playstation 2 console. This RPG game is very famous in Japan, even though Japanese players need to pay for monthly fee to play online. Players in Europe and US on the other hand are very lucky because they are able to play the same game online without any additional fee. Monster Hunter Tri is a lot of fun to play alone, but playing online will surely give a better experience. It is advisable to get yourself a Wii Classic Controller for the best experience.

Mario Party 8

Mario Party 8 is the first party game for Nintendo Wii. The game bring colourful characters from Nintendo such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Toad, Donkey Kong, Koopa, and many more. There are a lot of mini games included in the games. All of the games is suitable for ice breaking for 2 and more people. Because this is a party game, don't expect to have a lot of fun when playing it alone. So throw out a party, invite your friends and play, don't forget to have fun.

Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart Wii is the new improvement from the much loved Mario Kart of Nintendo Gamecube. The game took many famous Nintendo characters and put them on a cart and race each other. There are a lot of kart to choose from, and when you win the games, you can open up more karts and even motorcycles. The characters are divided into three types according to their size. Their size determines the type of kart they're going to drive. Bigger kart is slower but tougher, and vice versa. Choose wisely because it will give you a lot of effect. Nintendo didn't forget to put power-ups too. That makes the game more interesting. Honestly, it is kinda hard to express the excitement that the game brings, you should try this game yourself. For me, this is the best racing game Nintendo Wii could offer.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is another instalment of the Zelda series. This game is based on the game with the same title on Nintendo Gamecube. The only difference is that the Gamecube version uses a different style of control system. Just like any other Zelda series, players will play the character of Link, trying to save Princess Zelda. The only difference is that, there are times when Link are changed into a wolf, having a different style of attack and skills. This game is packed with lots of fun, and the it uses the most of Nintendo Wii control system. You'll like the slingshot attack very much. For those Zelda fans and Action Adventures fans, you ought to have this one. For an old game, Zelda comes with around 60 hours of gaming pleasure, surely a value for money if you ask me.

New Super Mario Bros Wii

New Super Mario Bros. Wii (NSMB) is the latest instalment for the most famous Wii character of all time, Super Mario Bros. This game brought a new style in platformer genre, where there could be up to 4 players able to play this game at one time. Players will be able to play as Mario, Luigi, and two Toad character (blue and yellow). You can play together and share all the coins through out the game, or you can compete each other in accumulating the coins. This game is a fun game, either to play it alone or with friends. If you're afraid in some stages, you can always press A button to put your character in a bubble, and you'll need to get your friends to pop you out of the bubble. It is very challenging and cute and funny game. I'll recommend this game for all ages.
